Abstract
The object of this article is to analyze the conditions underwhich the adhesión contract takes place in relation to the consumer in the United States. First, the author
discusses and compares how the American and the Spanish laws regulate the rights of
the consumers, and the adhesion contracts. In the second part of the article, the author
examines different decisions made in the American courts of law that have affected
both the position of the consumer and the adhesion contracts; and in the last part, the
author classifies and analyzes those decisions under three general conditions.
