Abstract
Solutions apparently containing Ni[C6F5)2 are obtained by reaction of anhydrous NiBr2 with [C6- F5]MgBr in THF. The addition of different ligands to these solutions gives four-coordinate nickel(II) complexes of the type (C6F5)2NiL2 [L = PEt3 PBu3, PPh3 AsPh3 SbPh3, OPPh3 OAsPh3, p-Dioxane]. Structural data for these compounds are obtained by visible-UV and 1R spectroscopy and magnetic susceptibility measurements.
