In this sense, it seems necessary to study the mechanisms associated with gambling, as well as the relationship between them. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to analyze the relationship between gambling severity, emotional regulation (ER) and craving through a mediational model. A total of 138 participants carried out the study voluntarily. The results showed that there is an absence of relationship between severity, ER and craving for gambling. On the contrary, the data found for video games showed significant relationships between the different variables under study. In addition, bootstrapping analyses found that there was no mediational factor for suppression, as was the case for reappraisal. The limitations of the study and the implication of the results obtained in the area of gambling addictions are discussed.en
