El teatro palaciego de Ceský Krumlov y las obras dramáticas españolas depositadas en la biblioteca local

Abstract

Local theatre culture of Cesky Krumlov (Southern Bohemia) comes from 2nd half of 16th century. Until the present day there has been a Baroque theatre situated in the castle and it is considered to be a European rarity. The castle library which is expected to have one of the most important book funds of the Czech Republic contains book collections belonging to the House of Eggenberg and Schwarzenberg. The works from the library wrítten in Spanish are thematically the same as the ones being read in Spain in Europe at that time. As for Spanish plays deposited there we can mention the following ones - an anonymous play Thebaida, Comedy about Calisto and Melibea by F.Rojas, tragedies by C.Virués, eight collections of comedies by Lope de Vega and two dramas by Calderón de la Barca.

La cultura teatral local de Cesky Krumlov (Bohemia del Sur) proviene de la segunda mitad del siglo XV. El castillo de Cesky Krumlov cuenta con un teatro barroco, que es una rareza europea. La biblioteca palaciega es uno de los fondos más importantes de la República Checa, y está formado por las colecciones de libros de los Eggenberg y los Schwarzenberg. Las obras de la literatura española conservadas en la biblioteca responden temáticamente a lo que se leía en la España y en la Europa de aquella época. De las obras teatrales españolas depositadas allí cabe citar: la obra anónima Thebaida; Comedia de Calisto y Melibea, de F.Rojas. algunas tragedias de C.de Virués, ocho tomos de las comedias de Lope de Vega y dos obras dramáticas de Calderón de la Barca.
