Comportamiento hidrológico del río La Playa, como posible fuente de suministro a la ciudad de Bogotá

Abstract

El siguiente trabajo es un estudio hidrológico realizado bajo la necesidad de conocer el tiempo de llenado de un reservorio a construir, se han analizado las precipitaciones y los caudales (Q) medios de la cuenca, determinando que éstos son suficientes para que la zona se considere óptima para el desarrollo de la infraestructura. En busca de proponer alternativas que generen menor cantidad de impactos a la flora y la fauna que se encarga de proteger el Parque Nacional Natural Chingaza, se proponen otras alternativas no estimadas por la empresa acueducto de Bogotá, que es la encargada de realizar la obra de abastecimiento. Hay que resaltar la importancia de la protección del Parque Nacional Natural Chingaza, ya que representa un ecosistema de bosques altos andinos, con la existencia de fauna y flora en vías de extinción; como el oso de anteojos y los frailejones ambas con alto grado de sensibilidad. Dentro de los resultados obtenidos en éste trabajo, se demuestra que las pérdidas por fugas en el sistema de distribución son elevadas, lo que lleva a buscar un aumento de las captaciones superiores a las concesiones otorgadas por el Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible, para suplir la demanda diaria de dotación de agua.

The following work is a hydrological study carried out under the need to know the time of filling a reservoir to be built, the precipitations and the average flow rates (Q) of the basin have been analyzed, determining that these are sufficient for the area to be considered optimal for the development of the infrastructure. In order to propose alternatives that generate fewer impacts to the flora and fauna that is responsible for protecting the Chingaza National Natural Park, other alternatives are proposed, not estimated by the Bogotá aqueduct company, which is in charge of carrying out the work of catering. The importance of the protection of the Chingaza National Natural Park must be highlighted, since it represents an ecosystem of high Andean forests, with the existence of fauna and flora in danger of extinction; like the spectacled bear and the frailejones both with a high degree of sensitivity. Within the results obtained in this work, it is shown that losses due to leaks in the distribution system are high, which leads to an increase in captures higher than the concessions granted by the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, to supply the daily demand for water supply.
