Abstract
Beside the well-known environmental problems linked to the use of resources, the greenhouse effects and the climate change will have big impacts on disasters and humanitarian crises in the future decades. This is because the impact of climate change is intimately related to others underlying risk factors such as the population growth and the uncontrolled urbanization. According to a pessimistic scenario the humanitarian system could be shortly stressed by its inability to respond to the increased needs.
