dc.description.abstractGaetano Brunetti (1744-1798) fue un violinista y compositor de origen italiano que desarrolló su carrera en España, donde vive al menos desde los 16 años de edad. Tras estar al servicio de la Casa de Alba, Brunetti entró en la Real Capilla y poco después fue nombrado en 1770 maestro de música (violín) del Príncipe de Asturias, que reinaría como Carlos IV. Brunetti escribió una importante obra instrumental para uso del monarca, y sirvió como instrumentista de violín en la Real Cámara, hasta su muerte en 1798, completando así 28 años de servicio al noble personaje, y dejando un legado de más de 330 obras.es_ES
dc.description.abstractGaetano Brunetti (1744-1798) was a violinist and composer of Italian origin, who developed his career in Spain, where he lived at least since he was 16 years old. After some years at the service of the Duque of Alba, he entered the Royal Chapel and some years later, in 1770, he was appointed master of violin of the Prince of Asturias, who would reign as Carlos IV. Brunetti provided a vast amount of instrumental music for the king’s service, and remained with him both as composer and violinist until his death, in 1798, thus completing 28 years of service to the noble personage, and leaving behind a legacy of some 330 works.en
