Notas de trabajo para una ecología "del" sonido

Abstract

Este artículo es programático: presenta una investigación en curso, tanto individual como colectiva; pensado en términos de notas de trabajo, tiene un carácter deliberadamente esquemático y aborda varias preguntas sin desarrollarlas. Primero, intentará definir el concepto de ecología en relación con la música y las artes sonoras, centrándose en particular en la expresión “ecología del sonido” como sinónimo de la conciencia del enfoque en el sonido que caracteriza la situación actual, y propone presentar el concepto de “medio sonoro” como crítico del sonido reificado. Más adelante, dará un contenido a la propia noción de ecología, tomando como modelo la propuesta de Félix Guattari de delimitar tres ecologías: ecología ambiental, ecología mental y ecología social. Para concluir, se interesará tres ecologías, evoluciones que, rechazando el confinamiento del arte en el ámbito del “excedente de civilización”, están a la escucha de las preguntas que surgen de las crisis ecológicas, económicas y sociales, así como de la crisis de las representaciones que experimentamos las cuales, por esta razón, podrían describirse como transiciones en el sentido de ecología política: se tratará, sobre todo, la cuestión del futuro de la autonomía del arte, la integración de un problema ético y la apertura de la estética a la aísthesis.

This is a programmatic article: it presents an ongoing investigation, both individual and collective; thought in terms of working notes, it has a deliberately schematic nature and approaches several questions without developing them. First, it will try to define the concept of ecology in relation to music and sound arts, focusing in particular on the expression “ecology of the sound” as a synonymous with the awareness of the focus on the sound that characterizes the current situation, and proposes to present the concept of “sonorous milieu” as a critic of reified sound. Then, it will give content to the very notion of ecology, taking as a model the proposal of Félix Guattari to delimit three ecologies: environmental ecology, mental ecology and social ecology. To conclude, it will focus on the significant developments that occur in music and sound arts threated by the three ecologies, evolutions that, refusing the confinement of art in the field of “civilization surplus”, are listening to the questions that arise from the ecological, economic and social crises, as well as from the crisis of the representations that we experience which, for this reason, could be described as transitions in the sense of political ecology: it will deal, above all, with the question of the future of the autonomy of art, the integration of an ethical problem and the opening of the aesthetic to the aisthesis.
