dc.description.abstractThe statistical properties of SNR are analyzed for chirped-pulse (CP-)ΦOTDR and compared with traditional ΦOTDR using coherent-detection. CP- ΦOTDR is showed to have drastically narrower (lower variance) SNR distribution, thus providing higher reliability measurements.en
