Congreso de Educación Médica hecho por y para estudiantes

Abstract

Actualmente la formación universitaria en el Grado en Medicina consta de seis años,durante los cuales se adquieren una serie de conocimientos teóricos y prácticos, pero ¿sonsuficientespara la formacióncomo personal sanitario? El Congreso de Educación Médica del Consejo Estatal de Estudiantes de Medicina se organiza anualmente por y para estudiantesde medicina. Se trata del evento de mayor repercusión a nivel nacional, donde se reúnen cerca de 700 estudiantes de todo el país con la oportunidad de asistir a distintas conferencias, mesas redondas ymultitud detalleres de sobreel mundo sanitario. La próximaXIIedición será celebradadel 13 al 16 demarzo2019en el campus externo de la Universidad de Alcalá. Entre algunos de sus objetivos se encuentra fomentar y galardonar la investigación, además del espíritu crítico. Así mismo será potenciada la fuerza de unión entre los futuros profesionales de la saludyse promoveránestilos de vida saludables. Además, tendrá un carácter reivindicativo incluyendo aspectos sociales fundamentales como son el feminismo y la lucha por los derechos del colectivo LGTBI+. Dentro de las líneas futuras de trabajo se encuentra la realización de un estudio sobre el aprendizaje basado en congresos y eventos. En este artículo quedan reflejadoslos pasos que se han dadopara la preparación de la XII edición del Congreso de Educación Médica de Alcalá.

Currently university education in the degree of Medicine consists of six years, during which are acquired a series of theoretical and practical knowledge, but is this enough for the development as healthcare personnel? The Medical Education Congress of the State Council of Medical Students is organized annually by and for medicine students. This is the event with greatest impact at the nationallevel for medicine students, which brings together around 700 students from all around the country with the opportunity to attend different conferences, round tables and a multitude of workshops on the healthcare sector.The next XII edition will take place from March 13 to 16, 2019 at the external campus of the University of Alcalá. Among some of its objectives is to encourage and reward research, as well as the critical spirit. To take advantage of this meetings of future health professionals and promotehealthy lifestyles. It will be managed as an activist event, where fundamental social demands such as feminism and the struggle for LGTBI + rights will also take place. Within the future lines of work is the realization of a study on learning based on congresses and events. In this article the steps that have been taken for the preparation of the XII edition of the Congress of Medical Education of Alcalá are reflected.
