La época amarniense en el cine: reflexiones en torno a "Nefertite, regina del Nilo" (F. Cerchioo, 1961)

Abstract

Las películas de tema histórico pueden ser analizadas desde el punto de vista de la imagen que una sociedad posee sobre un período o personaje concreto, y resulta muy revelador poder determinar los factores que han influido en esa imagen. Desde esa perspectiva, este artículo realiza un análisis de la película Nefertiti, regina del Nilo (F. Cerchio, 1961), centrándose en la imagen proyectada tanto de la reina egipcia como del faraón Amenhotep IV, especialmente en lo referido a su supuesta homosexualidad.

The historical films can be analyzed from the point of view of the image that a society has on a period or concrete personage, and turn out quite revealing to determine the factors that have influenced this image. From this perspective, this paper realizes an analysis of the movie Nefertiti, regina del Nilo (F. Cerchio, 1961), focussing on the images projected of the Egyptian queen and the pharaoh Amenhotep IV, specially in relation to his supposed homosexuality.
