Abstract
This paper aims at describing the project Frontera hispano-portuguesa: documentación lingüística y bibliográfica (FRONTESPO), whose main objective is the exhaustive documentation of Spanish-Portuguese borderland, a space of meeting and confluence of languages whose dialectal identity is disappearing at an increasing rate, so it is imperative and urgent to collect information. The project has five nuclear cores: a) Collection of oral corpus in a (socio)linguistic perspective. b) Analysis of the collected materials. c) Location and edition of historical texts from the border area. d) Cataloguing of borderland dialectal materials external to the group. e) Creation of a multidisciplinary bibliographic database.
