Acomodación en los pronombres de tratamiento de ecuatorianos en España

Abstract

En este artículo, pretendemos ofrecer el comportamiento lingüístico de una familia de ecuatorianos emigrados a Madrid y los parámetros sociales y cognitivos que se relacionan con la posible adopción por parte de cada uno de ellos del sistema de tratamientos imperante en el español peninsular, en cuanto a sus pronombres y morfología verbal. Mediante una recogida de datos espontáneos, hemos medido los usos de tres generaciones distintas, cada una de las cuales presenta un comportamiento dispar. Los resultados muestran que la acomodación o falta de esta depende del sexo, la edad y la presión del mercado lingüístico, pero, sobre todo, dan cuenta de que la adopción de nuevos usos lingüísticos es un proceso paulatino que se correlaciona con numerosos fenómenos sintácticos a nivel universal.

In this article, I attempt to show the linguistic behaviour of an Ecuadorian-migrated family in Madrid, as well as the social and cognitive parameters that are related to the possible adoption by each of them of the standard Peninsular Spanish address system, regarding its pronouns and its verbal and pronominal morphology. Through a collection of spontaneous data, the uses of three different generations have been measured, each of which exhibits a different behaviour. The results show that the accommodation or the lack of it depends on the sex, the age and the linguistic market pressure, but, above all, the data account for the fact that new linguistic uses are adopted in a gradual process that is correlated to many cross-linguistic phenomena in syntax.
