Evolución de la pena perpetua. La pena de prisión permanente revisable

Abstract

Entre las numerosas reformas penales introducidas por la ley, cabe destacar la pena de prisión permanente revisable, introducida el 1 de julio de 2015 con la entrada en vigor de la Ley Orgánica 1/2015, de 30 de marzo, por la que se modifica la Ley Orgánica 10/1995, de 23 de noviembre, del Código Penal. El objeto de este trabajo consiste en determinar si existe o no la necesidad de una pena de estas características en el sistema penal español en estos momentos.

Among the numerous penal reforms introduced by the law, it is worth noting the penalty of reviewable permanent prison, introduced on 1st July 2015 with the Organic Law 1/2015, of 30th of March, which modifies the Spanish Criminal Code of 1995. The aim of this work is determine whether a penalty of these characteristics is needed currently in the Spanish penal system.
