El paisaje lingüístico chino-español de la ciudad de Valencia: una aproximación a su estudio

Abstract

El estudio del paisaje lingüístico todavía es un campo novedoso con muy pocas investigaciones y queda mucho por explotar. Este trabajo trata principalmente del paisaje lingüístico chino-español en la ciudad de Valencia bajo la teoría del paisaje lingüístico de Landry y Bourhis (1997). Se focaliza en los signos monolingües chinos, los signos bilingües chino-español y los signos del español escritos por los chinos en la zona china concentrados en las calles del centro de la ciudad de Valencia. A través del análisis del corpus fotográfico de los signos, se muestra no solo la situación lingüística de la zona china, sino también la situación social y económica de los inmigrantes chinos en la ciudad de Valencia.

The Chinese-Spanish linguistic landscape of the city of Valencia: an approach to its study. The study of the linguistic landscape is still a new field with little research and much to be exploited. This work is mainly about the linguistic landscape of Chinese-Spanish in the city of Valencia under the theory of linguistic landscape put forwarded by Landry and Bourhis in 1997. It focuses on Chinese monolingual signs, Chinese- Spanish bilingual signs and those signs written by the Chinese in the Chinese area concentrated in the central streets of the city of Valencia. Through the analysis of a photographic corpus of signs, it displays not only the linguistic status of the Chinese area, but also the social and economic status of those Chinese immigrants in the city of Valencia.
