The number of works and projects carried out in the translation field has increased in the last few decades. The different academic syllabuses, courses and conferences focusing on specialised translation are proof of this. This increase can be seen in medical, technical, legal and even multimedia translations. However, it is not seen in other specific areas. Hybrid translation is a good example of this situation: there are no comprehensive and detailed studies about this type of translation so far. For this reason, in2013, a research project was carried out at the Jaume I University. It analyzed and described the situation of hybrid translation, especially in the case of sworn translation of medico-legal texts, their socio-professional practice and information resources available. Some parts of this research will be shown in this paper. We will describe the main references available for this area and analyse some of the results obtained in our socio-professional research survey.es_ES
