Impacto territorial de la dependencia en España: población afectada y costes asociados a su atención

Abstract

La aprobación y puesta en marcha de la Ley de Dependencia ha supuesto un nuevo campo de actuación para las políticas públicas. De acuerdo a dicha Ley, son las Comunidades Autónomas las responsables de ofrecer los servicios. Por ello parece oportuno plantearse si el impacto será igual en todas ellas. Este trabajo trata de evaluar el número de personas dependientes con derecho a ayudas públicas en cada territorio y el coste asociado a su atención, tanto en el instante actual como hasta 2015, año en el que el sistema público de atención estará plenamente desarrollado.

The approval and implementation of Long Term Care Law has opened a new field for public policies. According to this Law, the Regional Go­vernments will be in charge for offering the services needed. For this reason, it can be adequate to know if the impact of this new service will be the same amongst all the territories. This paper tries to estimate how many dependent people would have the right to receive public aid in each Region and what their cost will be, not only in the present moment but also in 2015. For that time, it is supposed that the public system will be fully implemented.
