Variedades del español en contacto: acomodación sociolingüística de una comunidad de inmigrantes argentinos en la ciudad de Málaga. Análisis acústico de las variantes alofónicas de /ʝ /

Abstract

En este trabajo –que es un primer avance de un proyecto más amplio– se exponen los resultados del análisis acústico-perceptivo de las variantes alofónicas de /ʝ/ en Buenos Aires y Málaga, basado en entrevistas semidirigidas a hablantes porteños residentes en Argentina, hablantes porteños inmigrantes en Málaga y hablantes de español (variedad europea) nacidos en la ciudad de Málaga. El propósito de este estudio empírico es fijar los parámetros acústicos de diferentes segmentos aproximantes y fricativos obtenidos durante las entrevistas, que constatan la existencia de un proceso de acomodación y convergencia en marcha en la pronunciación de los inmigrantes a la de los hablantes de Málaga.

Varieties of Spanish in contact: sociolinguistic accommodation of an immigrant Argentinean community in the city of Malaga. Acoustic analysis of the allophonic variants of /ʝ/. In this paper, which is a previous study of a more complex project, we deal with the results of the acoustical and perceptive analysis of the allophonic variants of /ʝ/ in Buenos Aires and Malaga. The results were obtained in semiguided interviews to speakers from Buenos Aires living in Argentina, speakers born in Buenos Aires but resident in the city of Malaga and speakers of an European variety of Spanish born and raised in the city of Malaga. The goal of this study is to determine the acoustic parameters of different approximant and fricative segments of /ʝ/ obtained during the interviews, which prove the existence of an accommodation and convergence process of the immigrants’ pronunciation towards the pronunciation of the speakers from Malaga.
