Las oraciones copulativas de sintagma nominal y la caracterización

Abstract

Este artículo examina los mecanismos por los que una oración copulativa con doble sintagma nominal puede adoptar la función de caracterización más propia de los sintagmas adjetivales. La teoría aquí defendida es que la función caracterizadora de una oración copulativa de sintagma nominal viene determinada por tres factores: el grado de fuerza referencial del atributo, el tópico del texto en que aparece la oración y la literalidad del sentido de cópula que posee la oración.

This article examines the mechanisms that enable a copular clause of the SN is SN type to act as a predicational clause, a function typically associated with adjectival groups.
