"Análisis contrastivo de los cultismos latinos de uso internacional en el habla común desde las perspectivas diacrónica y sincrónica: el desarrollo y el cambio de su significado (en base a las lenguas de primer y segundo contacto: español, eslovaco, ruso)"

Abstract

Actualmente todas las lenguas modernas contienen en su vocabulario muchos elementos ‘internacionales’. Se considera por un elemento internacional el que aparece, por lo menos, en tres lenguas de diferentes familias lingüísticas: crédito (español), kredit (eslovaco), кредит (ruso); aparato (español), aparát (eslovaco), aппарaт (ruso). El presente artículo esboza en breves líneas la entrada y la integración de palabras de origen latino culto en español y en las lenguas eslavas. Se afirma que, aunque las diferentes condiciones históricas de la evolución de cada pueblo influyeron de una manera distinta en la formación de base de cada lengua, sin embargo el predominio científico y cultural del antiguo Imperio Romano y, por consiguiente, de la lengua latina dejaron un visible rastro en el vocabulario de las lenguas eslavas de nuestro interés. La parte eminente de nuestro trabajo la ocupa el examen comparativo semántico de cultismos. Éste muestra que la integración y frecuencia de uso causa a menudo su desviación semántica en tal o cual lengua de destino, lo que provoca en algunas ocasiones la aparición de los llamados “falsos amigos“.

At present, the lexicon of every modern language contains elements of international character, the internationalisms. As an international element the words can be considered that occur in several languages of different philological family with the same or similar meaning: crédito (Spanish), kredit (Slovak), кредит (Russian); aparato (Spanish), aparát (Slovak), aппарат (Russian), etc. In this paper, our aim is to expose on the arrival and integration of the words of Latin origin in Spanish and Slav languages. We observe that, in spite of diverse historical developments of the individual nations, which clearly influenced the respective languages, the dominant scientific and cultural role of the Roman Empire in the past has left visible marks in the vocabulary of Slav languages as well. An important part of our investigation constitutes the comparative analysis of “cultisms”, i.e. the words which come from the literary Latin without significant morphological and phonetic changes. On the ground of this analysis we make a conclusion that the total integration and frequent use of individual words result in semantic deviation in one or another target language and in the appearance of the phenomenon of so called “false friends”.
