Abstract
Il dibattito poetico originatosi intorno alla mala canso di Gilles de Viés-Maisons Chanter m’estuet, car pris m’en est courage e che coinvolge Gace Brulé e il Castellano di Coucy rappresenta un complesso caso di intertestualità poetica leggibile secondo una doppia matrice di significato: tradizionalmente interpretato come ‘dibattito cifrato’ sull’etica della fin’amors, presenta al contempo una valenza metaletteraria legata alla riflessione sul tema del ‘canto per amore’, che testimonia un elemento di consapevolezza critica nella ricezione del modello trobadorico da parte dei trovieri della prima generazione.
 
The poetic debate originated from Gilles de Viés-Maisons’s mala canso Chanter m’estuet, car pris m’en est courage, involving Gace Brulé and the Chastelain de Coucy, represents a complex case of poetic intertextuality, which can be read along two axes: although it is usually interpreted as a ‘coded debate’ on the ethic of courtly love, it also has a meta-literary valence revolving around the theme of the poet’s ‘singing from love’, which is the demonstration of a critical attitude in the reception of troubadour models by first generation trouvères.
