La integración sociolingüística de la inmigración hispana en España: lengua, percepción e identidad social

Abstract

La población inmigrante en España ha crecido de manera rápida y progresiva en las últimas dos décadas. Dentro de esta población, los fl ujos migratorios procedentes de Hispanoamérica son los que más personas han aportado a nuestro país, junto con los compuestos por marroquíes y rumanos. La integración de los inmigrantes hispanos en el plano lingüístico presenta características y problemáticas diferentes a las que presentan inmigrantes que tienen como lengua materna una lengua diferente del español, cobrando en su caso una especial relevancia factores psicosociales que afectan a la esfera del individuo. Atendiendo a los últimos enfoques cognoscitivos en el estudio de las variedades del español, en este trabajo se pretende refl exionar sobre la infl uencia que tienen la percepción de las variedades de una misma lengua en contextos migratorios y la identidad social en el proceso de acomodación comunicativa de los inmigrantes hispanohablantes.

The sociolinguistic integration of the Hispanic immigration in Spain: language, perception and social identity. In the last two decades, the immigrant population in Spain has grown quickly and progressively. Within this population, the most people who have arrived at our country, by way of migratory fl ows, have been coming from Latin America, along with fl ows composed of Moroccans and Romanians. The integration of the Hispanic immigrants in the linguistic plane presents different characteristics and problems to those immigrants who are native speakers of a language other than Spanish, gaining relevance, in this specifi c case, psychosocial factors that affect the individual sphere. Paying attention to the most recent cognitive perspectives in the study on Spanish varieties, this work refl ects on the infl uence that the native language varieties’ perception on migratory contexts and social identity have in the process of communicative accommodation for Spanish speaking immigrants.
