Asnos, burros, γάιδαροι, όνοι: estudio comparativo de su presencia en los refranes españoles y griegos

Abstract

En este artículo, el autor se ocupa de la presencia del asno en los refranes españoles y griegos. Al principio estudia el origen, la estructura y el simbolismo de los refranes griegos. A continuación, clasifica los refranes de ambos idiomas en tres grupos, y los compara. Por último, llega a unas breves conclusiones acerca del papel social de dicho animal, según los refranes citados.

In this article the author works on the presence of the donkey in the Spanish and Greek proverbs. At first, he studies the origin, the structure and the symbolism of the Greek proverbs. Afterwards, he classifies the proverbs of both languages in three categories and compares them. Finally, he comes to a conclusion about the social role of this animal, as this is depicted in the proverbs of the article.
