Abstract
A partir de un relato que explica el origen de las manchas lunares y que fue recogido en Mula (Murcia-España), se estudia en este artículo la aparición recurrente de tal motivo y sus variantes en el folklore oral y la literatura.
 
From the analysis of a story collected in Mule (Murcia-Spain), this paper develops a complete study of the variants of the explanations for the origin of the lunar stains as a recurrent motif both in oral folklore and literature.
