El cuento del fortachón en el folklore y la literatura

Abstract

El motivo del hombre de fuerza descomunal ha obtenido amplia acogida en el folklore de todo el mundo. Aquí se comentan los Tipos folklóricos (de acuerdo a Aarne-Thompson-Uther) protagonizados por tal personaje, y la evolución que experimenta de hombre fuerte a redomado pícaro, capaz de vencer con la astucia y no con la fuerza.

The motif of a man's with enormous strength is a recurrent one in folklore all over the world. This paper studies the folkloric types (according to Aarne-Thomson-Uther) in which this character appears, and the evolution that he experiences from a strong man to an artful scamp, able to conquer with the cunning instead of with the force.
