Abstract

Plastic creations of the last two centuries have frequently looked back to the Medieval Ages. Comics of the XIXth c. were inspired on medieval works, an inspiration based on many models, sorne with rigorous visions of reality and, others, on archetypes and stereotyped formulas. Besides, a great number of authors found in these medieval works a suitable chronologic context to situate their main characters as representatives of the prevailing values of the periodo Comics analysed in this paper try lo offer a general view of that production.
