Desarrollo y turismo rural: una perspectiva sobre Aragón

Abstract

La búsqueda de alternativas al turismo de sol y playa han propiciado el desarrollo de un turismo cultural, de naturaleza y de aventura que resulta idóneo para los espacios rurales, cuya potencialidad en estos aspectos es evidente. En estas páginas se analizará la evolución reciente de este hecho en Aragón, teniendo en cuenta el apoyo institucional a las propuestas locales, en el marco de un concepto de multifuncionalidad y diversificación de actividades, la puesta en valor de sus recursos y el incremento de inversiones. Las iniciativas de desarrollo rural, sobre todo LEADER Y PRODER, han potenciado el turismo rural, no sólo por la financiación pública que suponen, sino por la capacidad de movilizar los recursos económicos y la población de estos territorios.

The search for alternatives to the sun and beach tourism have led to the development of cultural, natural and adventure tourism, which is very suitable for rural areas, whose potential in these fields is evident. In this paper will be discussed the latest development of this issue in Aragon, taking into account the institutional support for local proposals in a framework of multifunctionality and diversification of activities, the recognition of value of its resources and the increase of investment. Rural development initiatives, particularly LEADER and PRODER, have boosted tourism, not only because of the public funding involved, but due to the ability to mobilize economic resources and population of these territories.
