Introducción a los "motivos" de José María Rodríguez Méndez en "Flor de otoño"

Abstract

El presente artículo analiza la obra de José María Rodríguez Méndez, Flor de Otoño, desde unos presupuestos metodológicos basados en la Teoría de motivos y estrategias. El estudio expone los “motivos” que llevan a un autor, situado tradicionalmente dentro de la generación realista del teatro de los años sesenta, a plantearse en esta obra una “estrategia escénica” más cercana al teatro de ruptura y con un lenguaje escénico distante de los cánones de la estética realista.

This article is an analyses of José María Rodríguez Méndez’s work Autumn Flower, from a methodolgical approach based on the Theory of Motives and Strategies. The study explains the “motives” why an author who is traditionally considered to belong to the Realist Generation of Playwrights of the 60’s, has chosen for this work a “stage strategy” closer to a style of theatre that wanted to break the communication with its Environment and a different stage language from the realist aesthetic outlines.
