El motivo de la independencia en el teatro contemporáneo

Abstract

Este artículo explora la fuerza de mediación que el concepto de “independencia” ha infundido en el teatro contemporáneo. Su autor revisa la génesis del concepto y recorre su evolución e implementación en la sociedad occidental. Con ello trata de observar cómo la independencia, como factor de mediación, se configura en uno de los principales “motivos” que alientan la obra creativa hasta generar el paradigma estético-social del Teatro Independiente.

This article looks into the force of mediation that the concept of “independence” has instiled into contemporary theatre. The author reviews the origen of the concept and goes through its evolution and implementation on western society. The aim of this proposal is to see how the independence, as mediation’s factor, sets up as one of the main “motives” that encourage the work of art to cause the aesthetic-social paradigm of Independent Theatre.
