Variantes del lamento épico en el "Digenís Akritis"

Abstract

Este artículo trata de confrontar el lamento épico que aparece en el Digenis Akritis bizantino con el esquema tradicional seguido por este tipo de lamentos. El fragmento bizantino, que muestra el dolor por la muerte de una hermosa dama, sigue el patrón del lamento épico tradicional pero, sin embargo, incluye a su vez ciertas peculiaridades que hace del texto un testimonio excepcional entre el resto de lamentos épicos.

This article attempts to confront the epic lament that appears in the Bizantine Digenis Akritis to the traditional scheme followed by this type of laments. The Bizantine fragment, which shows the grief for a beautiful lady's death, follows the traditional epic lament pattern but, however, it also includes some peculiarities that make the text be exceptional among the rest of epic laments.
