Cantar y contar en el "Siervo libre de amor"

Abstract

En este trabajo sobre la conjunción verso-prosa del Siervo libre de amor, relato pretendidamente autobiográfico, se destaca la forma de enunciación recurrente del prosimetrum para considerar su relación dialéctica y al analizar funcional y temáticamente el conjunto lírico-narrativo, se señala la interdependencia del que hacer poético de Rodríguez del Padrón con autores, formas, tendencias y motivos recogidos en el Cancionero de Palacio, aun cuando cronológicamente, este cancionero no pudo ser fuente directa para Juan Rodríguez. Por ello, con el análisis de algunos procedimientos alusivos -paráfrasis y citas de versos ajenos- se muestra al poeta en el ámbito de la comunidad literaria que hizo posible la colectánea poética. Los versos propios y los versos ajenos se combinan formando un entramado de efecto intensificativo, tanto en la propia textura lírica como en su relación con la prosa en el Siervo libre de amor.

This paper analyzes the mixture of prose and verse in Siervo libre de amor, a supposedly autobiographical story. In it special attention is paid to the recurrent enunciation in the prosimetrum in order to consider its dialectic relationship and to study the topoi and functions of this narrative and Iyric composition. Although, due to its chronology, this text could not have been a direct source for Juan Rodríguez, it does highlight Rodrígue z del Padron's relationship with authors, forms, tendencies, and motifs present in Cancionero de Palacio. Thence , through the analysis of allusive procedures (such as paraphra ses and quotations of other bards' verses) the poet is proven to be within the literary community that made this poetic collection possible. Compositions of his own and by others are here combined to come out in an intensifying effect, both in its Iyric texture and in its relationship with prose.
