These texts represent the continuity of the poetic troubadour tradition and they present a marked influence of Cerverí de Girona and the Capellá de Bolquera. At the same time, they give entry to innovative features, such as formal hybridization (the dansa-balada) or thematic (derivation from courtly topics of the high register towards the most popular of the canso de comiat), and the introduction of elements of everyday life (II . bestrer = advance payment, a characteristic word of trade), along with the survival of feudal metaphors (III . the lover is registered in the book of properties of his lady).
