Abstract

This project presents an experience planned in the second year subject History of the English Language 1 included in the English Studies Degree of the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. The work project consisted in the creation, distribution and evaluation of a series of podcast episodes on the external history of English using collaborative learning techniques. In the development of this experience, students were able not only to improve their English (the language used throughout the whole activity), but also to become more familiar with mobile technologies and podcasting. The nature of this activity allows its easy adaptation into many other courses where students are required to use the foreign languages they are learning.
