In this day and age, social, political, economic and cultural transformations cause numerous obstacles in the family-school collaboration relationship. The educational system nowadays assumes a greater number of functions due to new family needs. For this reason, the main goal of this work is to find out the need for support between families and the school in order to achieve a better development of the students' learning. For this purpose, a quantitative research was carried out, with a bibliographical review of the subject and several questionnaires addressed to families and teachers belonging to the Infant and Primary Education stages. A sample of 190 families and 156 teachers from different Spanish communities was obtained. Likewise, the beliefs of both institutions about the influence of their relationship in the teaching-learning process of the pupils are analysed, obtaining conclusions, limitations and prospective of the research carried out.

del profesorado.; The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) places the spotlight
on those education systems that have the best performance and the most equal
opportunities among their students. For years, Finland has been the education
system of reference for its good results and innovative methodologies. However,
in recent reports, a new educational giant has emerged and, step by step, it has
been climbing positions in PISA until it reached, in 2018, the first position of the
participating European countries: Estonia. For this reason, this paper seeks to
understand the main characteristics of the Estonian education system through
the analysis of theoretical data and the implementation of a qualitative research
to obtain a more global and complete vision of how the new leading education
system of the European Union works. This research is based on the premise that
the good results obtained by Estonia in the 2018 PISA report have their roots in
a well-structured, innovative education system that is supported by both society
and the state. In order to carry out the study, semi-structured interviews are used
to obtain the opinions and perceptions of educational agents at different levels
(three student teachers, three professors with doctorates in education and three
active teachers). Through data analysis, the hypothesis is refuted, as the
Estonian education system presents significant problems, including low salaries
and teacher shortages.
