Además, se propone un protocolo de actuación para facilitar las sesiones transculturales en el ámbito de la salud mental.; Due to the continuous arrival of foreigners to Spain and the current pandemic situation caused by COVID-19, the demand for public services such as those related to mental health, has increased. Because of this situation, new challenges for the Spanish mental health professionals have emerged. Communication between specialists and patients is essential in mental health settings, since the principal tools that the therapist has to work with are language, emotions, and cultural references. Therefore, interpreters are vital in the communication process in the mental health setting. The main purpose of the current paper is to represent the information thatthe Spanish mental health therapists have on the regulations they should followwhen working with interpreters. At the end of the current paper a protocol of action is facilitated for the Spanish mental health professionals.

The market for public service interpreting and translation (PSIT) is inevitably subject to constant fluctuation in demand for different languages, regulated by temporary migration trends. In recent years, this market made up of countless dialects and dissimilar contexts has been confronted with the unprecedented challenge of the global health crisis, demanding new capacities for adaptation. How to relocate services, coordinate individual assignments, develop new translation skills and adapt to new professional requirements overnight? These are the questions facing language service companies whose mission consist of assisting migrants and people from migrant backgrounds in their relations with public services in France. Based on a specific case, we propose to identify trends that highlight the necessary reconfiguration of the needs/response pair in the associative field. We will analyse a corpus of data provided by the association ISM Interprétariatfrom two complementary perspectives: the evolution of the available service described in the 2019-2020 activity reports and the comments of the organisation's representatives.

The question we raise is how the role of the interpreter is perceived and how judicial operators should act in a trial with interpreters. This may be problematic in terms of ensuring a fair trial. However, this issue has not been sufficiently addressed. Therefore, the aim of this article, after having reviewed the existing literature and legislation, is to present a series of findings and observations from surveys of court interpreters, judicial operators and lawyers.

Por lo tanto, los consentimientos deben estar escritos en un idioma que el paciente pueda entender para que pueda participar activamente en el proceso de toma de decisiones relacionadas con su salud.; Due to the rise in migratory movements and the increase of multicultural societies, health services of many countries, and in particular Spain, have had to adapt in order to be able to give access to patients and users who do not speak Spanish. One of the first and main documents which health users are handed when accessing many medical procedures are informed consents. Consents are legal documents used in health settings which a patients signs stating that s/he allows a procedure to be performed on her/him (i.e. a surgical procedure). Consents must thus be written in a language that the patient can understand so they can actively be involved in the decision making process related to their health. In Spain, however, few hospitals have these documents available in languages other than Spanish. In medical translation, specifically from Spanish into English, there is a wide range of phenomena known as “explicitation” which is the action of using an explicit term in the target language, to explain something that was implicit in the source language. The aim of this article will be to analyze the presence of explicitations as well as terminological errors in informed consents by comparing a set of original Spanish documents and their translated versions in English.
