Knowing their justification and their international impor­tance implies their own review. This article begins by defining its main characteristics, focusing on their two main components: lan­guage and culture. The diff erence in levels of competence in the common European Reference Framework is especially relevant. Right after, we look at the different exams in different countries. A significant part of the work is directed towards the use of technolo­gy in the evaluation and preparation of exams emphasizing its bene­fits and difficulties.
