AsCl3 gives only (C6Cl5)2AsCl even with a large excess of C6Cl5Li. Treatment of (C6Cl5)3Sb with halogens gives (C6Cl5)3SbX2 (X=Cl, Br). Br2 does not react with (C6Cl5)2AsCl whereas Cl2 gives an intractable residue which is rapidly hydrolysed to [(C6Cl5)2As]2O.
