It discusses the stereotype of the "repartero" as a part of the popular culture in Cuba after the Cold War, and his representation in Miami cultural production. Additionally, the essay examines the gender imaginary associated with political satire and the re-significations emanating from popular music in the context of humorous parodies pertaining to diplomatic negotiations between the governments of Cuba and the United States. %K Television %K Diplomatic relations %K Cuba %K The United States %K Humor %K Satire %K Musical theatre %K Miami %K Havana %K Repartero %K Post-Cold War %K Televisión %K Relaciones diplomáticas %K Estados Unidos %K Sátira %K Teatro musical %K Post-Guerra Fría %K Arte %K Art %K Historia %K History %K Literatura %K Literature %K Sociología %K Sociology %K Filología %K Philology %~ Biblioteca Universidad de Alcala
