%X The political events that arose in some countries of Latin America in the late 1990s with the questioning of representative democracy as a discursive banner meant a profound shift in the way of understanding the role of representation between rulers and citizens. The new proposal brought to the present known precepts of populism but with new definitions of more complex identification. In the present text I try to expose some of the difficulties that arise when analyzing the normative limits of the new democratic proposal
