By examining some of Bolet Peraza’s editorials and articles published in this magazine, and the repercussions they had on other Latin American publications, this paper shows the commitment this Venezuelan writer had with Hispanic independent movements. In his role of managing editor, Bolet Peraza helped other intellectual exiles and political refugees from any part of the Hispanic speaking world to settle within the United States and to disseminate their literary work. %K Exile literature in the United States %K Venezuelan literature %K La Revista Ilustrada de Nueva York %K Latin American writers in the United States %K Hispanic literature in the United States %K Literatura de exilio en los Estados Unidos %K Literatura venezolana %K Escritores latinoamericanos en los Estados Unidos %K Literatura hispana en los Estados Unidos %K Literatura de exilio en los Estados Unidos %K Arte %K Art %K Historia %K History %K Literatura %K Literature %K Sociología %K Sociology %~ Biblioteca Universidad de Alcala
